Mr. Botsio is a seasoned lawyer with over 30 years post-qualification experience. An Oxford educated lawyer who was called to the Bar at Lincoln’s Inn, London, U.K. He is also is a Notary Public as well as Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Judicature, Ghana. He has led and provided legal advice on many national and international transactions for governments, multinationals and private entities. Some of his work spans commercial law, litigation, arbitration, competition & antitrust and intellectual property. He has led and worked with other legal experts and industry experts in areas such as Oil & Gas, Power, Natural Resources, Finance & Investments, Transport, Environmental, Land & Property. In conjunction with a firm of Energy consultants, he was involved in researching and drafting Offtake Agreement between Ghana Government and some local Oil Marketing companies as well as fixing an oil pricing mechanism. He has also been involved with investigations, research, advise and documentation provided to top commodity production and trading firms in connection with trading into the Ghana market. He has provided Legal and also Corporate Solicitor services to major international and local companies in areas spanning commercial, commodity, trading and industrial services Ghana. He has expertise insight into advice and drafting legal documents for use in international negotiations, agreements, litigation and arbitration. He has insight into regulatory and compliance affairs, including the interpretation of standard licence for major energy companies.
